What Is Sustainable Agriculture?

The buzz phrase "sustainable agriculture" refers to the set of plant and animal production practices with specific applications that will provide long term benefits to both production and the environment. How people interpret this is dependent upon each persons individual set of values.

You would be surprised to know how many people believe that sustainable agriculture means that your farming practices have a net-neutral footprint. This simply is not logical to expect under any circumstance, as everything we do on this planet creates a footprint.

The goal and benefits of sustainable agriculture:
️ ◽️ Sustain human food and fiber needs.
️ ◽️ Sustain the economic viability of farm operations.
️ ◽️ Enhance the quality of life for society.
